Howick Golf Club has signed up to a new service developed for amateur golfers. The new system works by sending a weekly email to members from their home club informing them of what home club events are coming up, what tournaments are available to play in the Auckland region, special news & special events form the Auckland golf association and other information relative to the specific to golf in Auckland. The content of each email links to information such as sponsors, event type, entry forms and results from previous weeks. (an electronic club programme that can be viewed by any golfer).
Each email is also tailored to your particular playing type, ladies receive ladies events & men receive men’s events. As we get more clubs using the service you will also be able to sign up to all types of tournaments nationwide, for example lefties tournaments, five course challenge events, Srixon pairs, pennants, Provincial trial events, junior have a go days, nominated county club events, basically anything to do with amateur golf in New Zealand will be included for you as a member to customise your weekly emails.
Each email you receive will also promote your annual club sponsors. Because the email is customisable, if you do not wish to know about what tournaments are coming up outside your home club simply follow a link at the bottom of the email and unsubscribe or unsubscribe to the system altogether. By receiving an email each week you are helping the club promote its tournaments, its sponsors, and thus increasing their value in sponsoring your club.
